What this site is
RestaurantTech Compare is a free comparison site for people who run restaurants in the US. It gathers public information about restaurant technology, puts every provider in the same template and ranks them with a public methodology.
It is general information. It isn't legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and it doesn't replace reading a contract yourself or with your own advisor.
The information can be out of date
Each data point shows its source and the date we last verified it. Providers change their prices, fees and contract terms without telling us, and we can make mistakes.
- Before you sign, confirm every price and term with the provider, in writing.
- When a provider doesn't publish a price or a fee, we say so. A missing number is not a zero.
- Calculator results are estimates from the numbers you enter and the data we have. They aren't a quote.
- Scores and rankings are our opinion, produced by the published methodology.

Price requests and quotes
When you send the price request form, your request goes to the company named in its permission text, not to us. Any quote comes from that company, and any contract you sign is between you and the provider. We aren't a party to it and we don't set its price or its terms.
Our privacy policy says what is sent with a request, and how we make money says who earns money when you sign.
Other sites
We link to providers and to our sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they publish, sell or collect.
Names and trademarks
Product and company names belong to their owners. We use them to identify what we compare. Naming a provider doesn't mean it endorses this site or that we endorse it.
Using the site
You may read, share and quote our pages with a link back to the page. Please don't:
- copy the data or the pages in bulk, or republish them as your own;
- send requests in a way that harms the site or gets around its limits;
- send a price request with someone else's contact details, or with false ones.
No guarantees
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, with no guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from relying on the site, from a provider's product or service, or from a contract you sign with a provider.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
