RTC SCORE

7.0

#7 of 21 with enough data

Our verdict

Online ordering with no extra monthly fee, commission or setup cost for restaurants already on Square, month-to-month, with a CRM and delivery through DoorDash or Uber. On Square Free you pay a higher card rate and do without loyalty, email marketing and your own domain.

What we like

  • No extra monthly fee, setup cost or commission for online ordering on any Square plan, including Square Free.
  • Month-to-month, with no cancellation fee.
  • Customer Directory, a CRM at no extra cost, with customer export.
  • Delivery for your own orders through DoorDash or Uber, from $6.99 per delivery with DoorDash, and you choose who pays it.

What to watch

  • Card processing on Square Free is 3.3% + 30¢ per online order, higher than on Square's paid plans.
  • Loyalty, email marketing and your own domain need a paid Square plan.
  • On Square Free, phone support is only for the first 90 days; after that, chat and email.
  • No app with your restaurant's name; that takes a third-party app.
