Online ordering review

Slice Online

Slice's lighter plan for pizzerias: online ordering through a Slice website, Google and the Slice app for $39 a month, plus $3 per card order (none under $10) and 2.9% + 30¢ card processing, month to month. No POS and no phone ordering.

RTC SCORE

5.3

#15 of 21 with enough data

Our verdict

Fits a pizzeria with few online orders that wants a low monthly fee and doesn't need Slice's POS or phone ordering. As card orders grow, the $3 per order makes it cost more than flat-fee platforms.

What we like

  • $39 a month and month to month; the pricing page lists an implementation fee only under Slice's Family plan.
  • No percentage commission, and no fee on orders under $10.
  • Works without Slice's POS: orders go to a Slice tablet, Square or Clover.
  • Uber Eats and DoorDash orders show up next to your own, and you can export your customer list.
  • 24/7 support by phone or text.

What to watch

  • The $3 fee is charged on every card order of $10 or more, plus card processing: with many orders it costs more than the $39 plan many times over.
  • Your customers may pay Slice fees on top of the order; Slice doesn't publish the amount or say which orders carry them.
  • No phone ordering or POS in this plan, and no app with your brand: your shop shows inside the Slice app.
  • Chargebacks are deducted from your payout.
