Our verdict
Fits restaurants that want delivery on their own orders without hiring drivers. Ask for your exact price per delivery before turning it on, decide how much of it your customers pay, and keep in mind that DoorDash can add fees with 7 days' written notice.
What we like
- No subscription, signup or termination fee: you pay per delivery.
- Works with ordering platforms and POS systems such as Square, Toast and Olo, through DoorDash's API, or by requesting Dashers yourself.
- You can end it for any reason with 7 days' notice.
- 24/7 phone support, with an option for Drive.
What to watch
- Only a range is published ($6.99 to $10.99); your exact price per delivery comes after you sign up.
- A delivery canceled after a Dasher is dispatched is still charged.
- DoorDash asks you to preselect a tip of at least 15% for the Dasher.
- Your customers' complaints about the food are yours to handle.
- DoorDash can add other fees with 7 days' written notice and can end the agreement at any time with written notice.
