RTC SCORE

7.5

#1 of 3 with enough data

Our verdict

DoorDash charges only per order: 15% on Basic deliveries and 6% on pickup, with card processing included and 7 days' notice to leave. In exchange you reach its customers and its Dashers deliver, but your customers' contact data stays with DoorDash.

What we like

  • Pickup orders cost 6% on every plan if your DoorDash prices match your in-store prices, and card processing is included in the commission.
  • No monthly fee, setup fee or cancellation fee, and you can leave with 7 days' written notice.
  • Phone support 24/7, plus live chat in the tablet and the Business Manager app.
  • Premier refunds that month's commission if you get fewer than 20 orders in a month, for its first 6 months.

What to watch

  • Deliveries cost 15% on Basic, with a smaller delivery area and without DashPass; DashPass comes only with Plus (25%) or Premier (30%).
  • Marketplace orders don't give you your customers' contact data.
  • Your customers pay DoorDash a delivery fee and a service fee (a percentage of the subtotal) on delivery orders, on top of your prices.
