RTC SCORE

6.6

#2 of 3 with enough data

Our verdict

Uber Eats charges only per order, with card processing included: 20% on Lite deliveries (from 15% in 13 published jurisdictions) and 7% on pickup with validated prices. In exchange you reach its customers and its couriers deliver, but it takes 60 days' notice to leave and your customers' contact data stays with Uber.

What we like

  • Pickup orders cost 7% if your app prices match your in-store prices, and card processing is included in the commission outside New York City and Portland.
  • No monthly or setup fee, and no early termination fee.
  • Publishes lower Lite rates for 13 jurisdictions.
  • Support 24/7 by phone, email and chat in Uber Eats Manager.
  • Premium refunds that month's marketplace fee if you get fewer than 20 orders in a month, for its first 6 months.

What to watch

  • Lite charges 20% on deliveries, without Uber One; Uber One comes only with Plus (25%, plus 5% on Uber One orders) or Premium (30%).
  • To leave you must give 60 days' notice, and you can't while an offer or ad you bought is running.
  • Marketplace orders don't give you your customers' contact data.
  • Your customers pay Uber a delivery fee and a service fee (a percentage of the subtotal) on delivery orders, on top of your prices.
